Pure Grain Exports is a private-label leather goods manufacturer in Lahore, Pakistan, producing wallets, belts, bags, jackets and motorcycle gear under our clients' own labels. This page sets out exactly what we make, what it costs, what the minimums are, and how an order moves from your tech pack to a shipment ready for your warehouse or an Amazon fulfilment centre.
What this page covers
- Product range: 10 finished-goods lines and 316 live options, plus 186 leather hides for brands that cut their own material.
- Minimums: from 2 pieces on entry lines — low enough to test a design before committing capital.
- Compliance: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems, LWG-certified tanning partners, and REACH-compliant chemistry.
- Markets: exporting to 40+ countries since 1999, with the US, UK, Canada, EU and UAE as core destinations.
Who We Are
Pure Grain Exports has been exporting leather from Pakistan since 1999. We are headquartered in Lahore and source through the country's three established leather clusters — Sialkot for garments and motorcycle gear, Kasur for tanning, and Karachi for finished goods and port logistics. Sustained finishing capacity runs at over 500,000 square feet of leather per month.
We work in two distinct ways, and it is worth knowing which one you need before you contact anyone:
Private-label manufacturing
You bring a design, a reference sample, or just a category and a target price. We produce the finished product under your brand — your labels, your packaging, your barcodes. This is the route most brands and e-commerce sellers take.
Bulk hide supply
You already have a workshop or a contracted factory and need consistent material. We supply finished hides by the square foot to your thickness, finish and colour specification. See our guide to bulk leather hides.
What We Manufacture
Our finished-goods catalogue currently runs to 316 live options across 10 product lines. Every one of them can be produced as private label.
Small leather goods
Wallets are our highest-volume line, with 125 live options covering bifold, trifold, cardholder and money-clip constructions. Belts run to 46 options across dress and casual widths. Both categories carry our lowest minimums, which makes them the usual starting point for a brand testing a first order.
Bags
Backpacks and weekender duffels are produced to order in full-grain and pull-up leathers, with lining, hardware finish and internal organisation all specified by the client. Detailed breakdown in our custom leather bag manufacturing guide.
Leather outerwear and motorcycle gear
This is the part of our capability that most buyers do not expect from a Pakistani supplier, and it is where Sialkot's manufacturing base genuinely leads. Alongside fashion leather jackets and biker jackets, we produce CE-standard motorcycle apparel — touring jackets, armoured pants and full one- and two-piece suits. Motorcycle gear is a technical product with armour pockets, abrasion-rated panels, stretch inserts and ventilation, and Sialkot has been making it for the European market for decades.

Read directly from the Pure Grain catalogue, September 2026. Prices are ex-works per piece before customisation, freight and duties; volume above the listed MOQ is quoted per order.
Prices are ex-works per piece in USD, before customisation, freight and duties. They assume standard leather and hardware at the stated minimum. Custom hardware, specialty leathers, embossed branding and retail-ready packaging are quoted on top. Above the listed MOQ, pricing moves down in bands — send your target quantity and we will quote against it.
Why our minimums are low
Our entry minimum is 2 pieces. Most Chinese factories quoting the same categories start at 300–500 units because their costing assumes automated cutting and long production runs. Our small leather goods are cut and assembled in units built around skilled hand-work, so a short run is not a special favour — it is the normal production mode. For a brand validating a design, that difference is the whole ballgame: you can test a wallet at 5 pieces instead of committing to 500.
Lead times
- Sampling: 10–14 days from an approved tech pack to a physical sample in your hands, plus courier transit.
- Production, small leather goods: 20–30 days after sample sign-off.
- Production, bags and outerwear: 35–50 days, depending on quantity and hardware sourcing.
- Sea freight: 25–35 days to US east coast, 18–25 days to northern Europe. Air freight is 5–8 days.
Plan on roughly 10–14 weeks from first contact to receiving goods for a first order. Repeat orders on an approved design drop to 6–8 weeks because sampling is already done.
Our OEM Process: Tech Pack to Shipment
- Enquiry and specification
Send a tech pack, a reference product, or photographs and a written description. We come back with feasibility, a leather recommendation, and an indicative price at your target quantity.
- Material selection
We send physical swatches of the proposed leather. Colour and hand-feel cannot be judged on a screen, and approving material from photographs is the single most common cause of a rejected first shipment.
- Sampling
We produce a physical pre-production sample. You approve it, or you mark it up and we revise. Nothing enters production until a sample is signed off in writing.
- Pre-production approval
The approved sample becomes the reference standard. We photograph and archive it, and it is what the QC team measures the production run against.
- Production
Cutting, skiving, stitching, edge finishing and assembly. In-line inspection at each stage rather than a single check at the end.
- Quality control
Six-stage QC with in-house lab testing — thickness, tensile strength, colour fastness and chemical compliance. Details on our quality and testing page.
- Labelling and packaging
Your brand labels, care cards, hangtags, polybags and cartons. For Amazon sellers this includes FNSKU labelling and carton-level shipment labels — see the FBA sourcing guide.
- Export and documentation
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading, and any buyer-specific documents. We ship FOB Karachi as standard; CIF and DDP are available on request.
Certifications, Compliance & Quality Control
Compliance is where most sourcing conversations quietly fall apart, so here is our position stated plainly.
What we hold
- ISO 9001 — quality management system, externally audited.
- ISO 14001 — environmental management system.
- LWG (Leather Working Group) — our tanning partners are LWG-certified, which is the audit standard most Western brands now require for leather sourcing.
- REACH — our chemistry is compliant with EU restrictions on substances including chromium VI, azo dyes and formaldehyde.
What we support but do not "hold"
CPSIA and California Proposition 65 are not certifications a factory can hold. They are US regulatory requirements met through product testing on a specific batch. Any supplier claiming to be "CPSIA certified" is either confused or misleading you. What we do is produce to the relevant limits and arrange third-party batch testing through SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas when your market requires it. That testing is quoted per batch and the report is issued in your name.
Six-stage quality control
Every batch passes through inspection at material intake, cutting, stitching, assembly, finishing and pre-shipment. Our in-house lab tests thickness consistency, tensile strength, colour fastness to rubbing and light, and chemical compliance. Hide grading is documented per batch, which is what lets us hold colour and temper consistent across a repeat order — the failure mode that ends most supplier relationships is not a bad first order, it is a second order that does not match the first.
Which Markets We Serve
We have exported continuously since 1999 and currently ship to more than 40 countries. Our core destinations and what buyers there typically need:
| Market | Typical buyer | Compliance focus |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Amazon FBA sellers, DTC brands, corporate gifting | CPSIA testing, Prop 65 where applicable, FNSKU labelling |
| United Kingdom | Independent fashion labels, motorcycle retailers | UK REACH, CE/UKCA marking on protective gear |
| European Union | Motorcycle apparel brands, leather goods houses | EU REACH, EN 17092 for motorcycle garments |
| Canada | DTC brands, wholesale distributors | Bilingual labelling, CCPSA |
| UAE & GCC | Corporate gifting, retail distribution | Country-of-origin documentation |
Pakistan holds GSP+ preferential status with the European Union, which means qualifying leather goods enter the EU at reduced or zero duty. For EU-based brands this is a material landed-cost advantage over sourcing from China, and it is covered in detail in our Pakistan vs China sourcing comparison.
How to Get Started
The fastest way to evaluate us is to hold the material. We keep sampling deliberately low-friction because we would rather you reject a swatch than reject a shipment.
- Request swatches or a sample
Use the sample request form. Tell us the product category and target market and we will send relevant material rather than a generic pack.
- Send your specification
A tech pack is ideal. A reference product and a target price works too. Submit through the quote request form.
- Review the quote and sample
You get a per-unit price at your quantity, a lead time, and a physical sample before any commitment.
Branding & Packaging Options
Private label means the product carries your identity, not ours. Nothing we ship under your brand carries any Pure Grain marking unless you ask for it.
On the product
- Embossing and debossing — your logo pressed into the leather with a heated metal die. The die is a one-off tooling cost on the first order and is stored and reused free on every repeat order. Blind, foil and pigment fills available.
- Woven and printed labels — stitched into interiors and linings. Low cost, high effect on perceived quality.
- Custom metal hardware — branded buckles, zip pulls and engraved plates. Requires a mould or die on the first order and adds 15–25 days to that order only.
- Edge paint in a brand colour — inexpensive, distinctive, and consistently underused.
- Custom stitch colour — the cheapest brand signature available. Costs essentially nothing and is instantly recognisable.
Packaging
- Polybag — protective minimum, with suffocation warnings where required.
- Kraft sleeve or pouch — light, recyclable, good margin-to-impact ratio.
- Rigid gift box — the strongest retail presentation and usually the largest single packaging cost.
- Dust bags — cotton or non-woven, standard on bags and premium goods.
- Hangtags, care cards and authenticity inserts — printed to your artwork.
- Retail cartons with barcodes — including FNSKU and shipment labelling for Amazon sellers.
Packaging changes unit cost, carton dimensions and carton counts, which in turn changes freight cost. Deciding late means requoting freight and occasionally redesigning the box. It is the most common source of avoidable delay in a first order.
Design Support & Custom Manufacturing
Not every brand arrives with a tech pack, and we would rather develop a product properly than decline the enquiry.
- You have a complete tech pack
Fastest route. We quote against it, flag anything impractical, and sample. Most of our work runs this way.
- You have a reference product
Send the physical item. We pattern from it and modify to your specification. Frequently faster than commissioning technical drawings first, and it removes an entire category of interpretation error.
- You have a concept and sketches
We develop pattern and construction with you, then produce a sample to work from. Expect an extra sampling round.
- You have a category and a target price
We propose constructions that hit the price and let you choose. Useful when the commercial constraint is fixed and the design is not.
Larger bespoke programmes run through our custom manufacturing service, which covers development work beyond adapting an existing construction.
Repeat Orders & Consistency
First orders are relatively easy. The supplier relationships that fail, fail on the second or third order — and almost always for the same reason: the factory produced against a fresh reading of the tech pack rather than against the thing you actually approved.
- The approved sample is archived as the physical reference standard and photographed in detail.
- Hide grading is documented per batch, so leather selection for a repeat order targets the same grade and substance rather than whatever is convenient.
- QC measures against the archived sample, not against the drawings.
- Tooling is stored — embossing dies, cutting dies, hardware moulds and graded patterns are retained, so repeat orders carry no setup cost.
- Colour-critical work should be ordered in one dye lot. Leather is natural and dye lots vary slightly; if exact match across a range matters, order the full quantity together rather than splitting across repeats.
Reorder planning
Repeat orders run 6–8 weeks for small leather goods and 8–10 weeks for bags and outerwear, plus freight. Work backwards from that: if you sell through in 12 weeks, place the reorder at around week 4. Going out of stock is more expensive than carrying inventory, particularly on marketplaces where availability drives ranking.
Payment & Trade Terms
| Term | Standard position |
|---|---|
| Deposit | 30% against a confirmed purchase order |
| Balance | 70% against a copy bill of lading |
| Letter of credit | Accepted on larger orders |
| Incoterm | FOB Karachi standard; CIF and DDP available |
| Sample charges | At cost plus courier, credited against first production order |
| Currency | USD standard; other currencies by arrangement |
The 70%-against-copy-bill-of-lading structure exists to protect you: you release the balance only once there is documentary evidence the goods have shipped. Any supplier — us included — demanding 100% up front should be declined. Full detail on our payments and trade terms page.
What We Do Not Do
Worth stating plainly, because a supplier who claims to do everything is telling you something about their reliability.
- We do not produce bonded leather. It cracks and delaminates within a year and generates returns that outlast the saving.
- We are not a single-site factory. We are a full-service OEM coordinating specialist units across Sialkot, Kasur and Karachi. That is why we can supply both hides and finished goods — and we would rather say so than show you one workshop and imply it makes everything.
- We do not hold CPSIA or CE "certification". Neither is a factory certificate. We build to the relevant standards and coordinate third-party batch testing issued in your name.
- We do not compete on synthetics. If your product is primarily PU or mixed synthetic materials at high volume, China's component ecosystem will serve you better. Our Pakistan vs China comparison sets out where each origin genuinely wins.
- We do not quote without a specification. There is no price list for private label, because the price is a function of what you are making.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our lowest minimum across all finished-goods lines is currently 2 pieces. Wallets start at 5 and belts at 2. Outerwear and bags start higher because of cutting and pattern setup — jackets from 20 pieces.
Leather swatches are free. Physical product samples are charged at cost plus courier, and the sample cost is credited against your first production order.
Yes. Send a tech pack, a physical reference product, or detailed photographs with dimensions. Most of our work is client-designed. We also offer design support if you have a concept but no technical drawing.
Yes — that is what private label means. Embossed or debossed logos, woven or printed labels, custom hardware, branded hangtags, care cards and retail packaging are all available.
The approved pre-production sample is archived as the reference standard, and hide grading is documented per batch. Repeat orders are produced and QC-checked against that archived sample rather than against a fresh interpretation of the tech pack.
Standard terms are 30% deposit against a confirmed purchase order and 70% against a copy bill of lading. Letters of credit are accepted on larger orders. Terms are on our payments and trade terms page.
Yes. We handle FNSKU labelling, polybagging with suffocation warnings, carton labelling and shipment plan compliance. Full detail in our FBA sourcing guide.
Tell us the product and the market. We will send relevant swatches, an indicative price at your quantity, and a realistic lead time — before you commit to anything.
